File Download Instructions


Selecting Files to Download
Click on the appropriate file format link that best fits your needs. DAT files are rolled over every even hour. RINEX files are rolled over every 24 hours.

File Names (see below for RINEX files)
Each file is named using a ssssdddh.dat.zip format. ssss is the station four-character identifier, ddd is the day of the year of first observation and h is the hour code (0 = file contains all the existing data of the current day, UTC time).


RINEX file naming convention is: ssssdddh.yyt.zip

ssss -- station four-character identifier.
ddd -- day of the year of first observation.
h -- hour code (0 = file contains all the existing data of the current day, UTC time).

yy -- two digit year .
t -- file type ( 'o'-observation, 'n' -navigation, 'm' - meteorological or 's' - summary).
zip -- designates file is compressed using the PKZip program.

Inside the PKZip file naming convention is ssssdddh.yyt

ssssdddh -- described above.
yy -- two digit year .
t -- file type ( 'o'-observation, 'n' -navigation or 'a' - almanac).


Downloading
Data is available on-line for a period of 30 days. Past data is archived on CD. Users are encouraged to download data as soon as practicable. You will need WinZip to uncompress the Data Files.
